Balanced meals will help you lose weight

Cereals can help you feel full and satisfied. Are you always hungry about 2 hours after eating? If you have a pretty tight schedule that leaves you with little time to exercise low-calorie foods aren't necessarily the answer to lose weight; rather, you need to eat healthy, balanced meals.

The recommendation is to start the day with a whole-grain cereal or oatmeal topped with low-fat milk and fresh fruit. The fiber in the cereal will help keep you full and satisfied.

For lunch, try a turkey or other lean meat sandwich made with whole-grain bread. Try mashed avocado for a spread; it's a healthy monounsaturated fat that will help keep you satisfied while supplying powerful phytochemicals. Don't forget sliced tomato and romaine lettuce.

For dinner, start with a hearty vegetable soup to fill you up, and have some protein and green vegetables or a salad. Munch on fruit and yogurt in between meals to keep you from getting hungry and to help boost your energy. Even if you think you don't have much time to exercise, try to squeeze in a quick 10-minute walk daily. You will be amazed at how it revitalizes you!
